Mineral Makeup Application

Mineral makeup application is the easiest thing ever! Once you've practiced, you'll find it's less messy than liquids or creams.
We've listed the steps as if you have all of our mineral makeup products. Just skip the steps for products you don't have. The brushes we have mentioned are excellent quality and really improve the ease in applying the makeup evenly, and without a lot of waste.

1. Start with a cleansed, toned, moisturized face.
2. Corrective Concealer:
For large areas use a cosmetic sponge or blush brush. For smaller areas, like blemishes, you can use a Q-Tip, fingertip, or a concealer brush.
Hide It in Cinderella Yella: Great for covering dark under-eye circles with a purpleish tint. Also conceals scars. Will undo tired looking eyes.
Hide it in Green Goddess: Recommended for covering redness. Green is opposite red on the color wheel, therefore it neutralizes red areas on the face.
Hide It in Just Peachy: Recommended for concealing dark under-eye circles with a blueish tint.
Hide It in Bisque, Ambient & Dusk: Multi-tasking concealers for everyday concealing needs.
3. Oil Control Mattifying Powder: Simply dip your brush in your powder, swirl, tap, and sweep it onto the oily parts of your face. If you have oily eyelids, you can apply this product there too. Some women use this product on their ears too, to help control oil.
4. Hollywood, Valley Girl or NoHoGlo Face Base: Simply dip your Mineral Powder Brush, Kabuki or Flat Top brush in your minerals, swirl a small amount in your lid, tap, and sweep it on in a circular motion. Keep applying in light layers until you've achieved your desired coverage. You can also brush your foundation over your eyelids. It will help your eye shadow stay true.
5. Mineral Eye Shadow: Can be applied with an eye shadow sponge, or brush. A little goes a long way. You can always add more! Some women with oily skin have problems with their eye shadow creasing and fading. A layer of Oil Control Powder under the eye shadow will help prevent this.
6. Bronzed Babe: Apply to the cheeks and forehead or wherever the sun normally gives you color with our Angled Blush & Bronzer Brush. For a quick makeover, Bronzed Babe can also be used as an eyeshadow for a quick and totally coordinated and healthy look!
7. Lush Blush: Apply lightly with our Angled Blush & Bronzer Brush. Barely dip the brush in the minerals, swirl in the lid, tap and sweep it over your cheeks.
8. LA Minerals Veil: This can be applied before or after blush/bronzer. We have nine shades of veil and an untinted veil to coordinate with our foundations! We highly recommend using our Dual Length Veil Brush. Just dip into the minerals, swirl in the lid, tap and apply lightly all over your face. This step will help "set" your makeup and give you a finished, polished look.
9. Optional Last step! Mineral Makeup tends to "meld" with your skin after a bit. To speed up the process, take a clean, damp wash cloth and press it over your face, or spritz with any hydrosol or hydrating spray.
Attention: Dry minerals do not require a preservative. We strive to offer you a natural, chemical free, preservative free product. Therefore, it is imperative that you do not add water directly to the mineral products. For wet application sprinkle dry minerals in your hand or product lid. Allow lid to completely dry before closing the jar.
